Commemorating the Chinese Lunar Mid-Autumn Festival in 2025

澳大利亚中国书法家协会全体同仁非常喜悦地发起乙巳中秋主题书法邀请展。今年的中秋节恰逢祖国人民欢度国庆佳节。我们衷心祝福我们的祖国繁荣昌盛，人民幸福。
Members of Australia Chinese Calligraphers Association Inc. are very delighted to launch this very special edition of invitational exhibition commemorating the Chinese Lunar Mid-Autumn Festival. This year, The Mid-Autumn festivities are virtually coupled by the 76thanniversary celebrations for our native country The People’s Republic of China. On this significant occasion, we would also like to sincerely wish a great prosperity for our motherland and for the happiness of the Chinese people.
中国历史悠久， 文化遗产丰富。作为中国的四大传统节日之一， 过中秋节 远在中国唐朝就很盛行。 亲朋好友相聚一堂， 共进晚餐， 畅饮桂花酒， 品尝月饼， 透过庭院的窗户， 观赏当空的圆月。
China is an ancient country of a long history with rich culture legacies. As one of the four major traditional festivities widely commemorated in China, Mid-Autumn Festival had long become very popular early in the Tang Dynasty(618-907 AD). Festival activities include gathering with family and friends for dinner, consuming traditional osmanthus wine and moon cake, while observing the full moon through the window.
时过境迁， 传统依旧。如今， 不但中国人过中秋节， 生活在世界各国的海外华人也把中秋节的文化带到了海角天涯。 作为澳大利亚多元文化社群的一员， 澳大利亚中国书法家协会今年的中秋节主题书法展还邀请了部分中国书法家作品参展， 使本次主题书法展的文化艺术色彩更加靓丽。
Time passes while the tradition remains unchanged. Mid-Autumn Festival is not only celebrated in China, also in many parts of the world by the overseas Chinese. As part of the multiculture communities in this great country of Australia, Australia Chinese Calligraphers Association Inc lustres this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival commemorationsby inviting some contributing calligraphers from China, making this special edition even more spectacular.
中国书法融文化与艺术于一体， 涵盖深邃中庸、和谐理念。所以， 书法修炼乃历史长河中士大夫文人之必修课。 受浮躁社会风气影响， 当今诸多书法作品更趋向于以纯艺术表达， 而式微其文化内涵的再现。澳大利亚中国书法家协会同仁致力于弘扬中国传统书法元素， 努力向澳大利亚多元文化社会和世界展现既有艺术价值， 又有文化内涵的中国书法作品。
Traditional Chinese calligraphy combines art and culture, embodying the in-depth of harmony and the doctrine of the mean.Therefore, it used to be the must-be practice for countless feudal officials over the past centuries in China. Challenged by an impetuous social atmosphere, many a contemporary exhibited Chinese calligraphy pieces drift more towards an artistic expression rather than a connotative manifestation of traditional Chinese culture. However, members of Australia Chinese Calligraphers Association Inc are endeavored to carrying forward the traditional Chinese calligraphy elite elements to showcase their Chinese calligraphy pieces resembling both artistic value and a great culture of China to the Australian multicultural communities and the world as well.
